Let's get down to business (cards)

'Let me give you my card.' How would you react?

I wondered if business cards were old news. So I asked around.

And yes, there are more modern solutions. QR codes, NFC, loads of tech options are out there.

But a common story cropped up among people who had tried these. It wasn’t foolproof. Often it was frustrating for their new contacts.

Handing someone a piece of card with your name on? Doesn’t get easier than that.

Despite the AI-fuelled charge to end the current ways, we still crave physical, crafted products.

My proof? I ran some polls on print vs digital. The responses showed 77% still prefer to read books in print and 71% still wanted a printed event guide.

So after all this research and feedback, I designed my own business cards (below).

I’m not totally anti-AI. I’m not anti-tech (I’m an absolute tech nerd), but you have to serve the needs of your intended audience.

And the simplest solution is sometimes still the best one.
